I thought that for a change of pace, I’d post a few pictures of myself and the new turbo that I’m going to put on. Sorry about the fact that the photos are in black-and-white; Somebody else took the pictures for me with their digital camera, and must have had it set up wrong.
Here I am holding the compressor wheel of the new DD-trim turbo
I explain the advantages of this new, experimental turbocharger to a local Ford Lightning owner (note my finger, extended to emphasize a point I am making).
Some Mustang guys demonstrating their new use for Nitrous Oxide…
The test rig for the DD-trim turbo is shown here, mounted on a prototype Syclone. Note the changes between this proof-of-concept development mule and the final production version.
In case you’re wondering what the hell all that was about, just consider the date of this installment. The bearded gentleman in the photos is actually Sanford Moss, father of the aircraft engine turbo-supercharger, circa 1918 or so. The photos are stolen (sorry!) from the May 2001 issue of Air & Space Smithsonian.
